A Great Feeling

A few months ago, a friend of mine posted about paying it forward. This is something that I have never really done, or if I had I didn't realize it, but the other day I did.

Zack and I had gone to the store to fill a prescription, and had gone pretty early, so I decided to go to Dunkin Donuts. While in line, I noticed that someone was behind me. Now I have to wonder off a bit here so bear with me. This blog post from my friend http://www.ayummymommy.com/ has plagued me since she posted it. I have always been think about how I could do this and help someone have a better day just because. I truly mean that it plagued me too.

So while I was at the drive thru of Dunkin Donuts, a car pulled on behind me. There was a very long line, and I noticed the frustration in the mirror behind me. I at that point choose to pay for that persons order as well as mine. I do not think that I could have picked a better person to pay for that day. She was clearly frustrated with having to wait in line, and when ordering was yelling at the clerk in the drive through, so when I said to the clerk that I wanted to pay for the persons order as well, she actually asked me why. I proceeded to tell her that maybe I will make her day better, and maybe help her realize that sitting in line a few extra minutes is not the end of the world. The clerk just smiled and said "Thank you." " You just made me realize that it is not all that bad." I just drove away. So I guess you could say that I paid it forward to two people that day, the woman that I paid for, and the clerk who realized that just cause someone else is having a bad day doesn't mean that you should take it personally.

I also have to say that I felt great that whole day, and can't wait to pay it forward again.
